I Resent My Post-Birth Body

Many women, like myself, are left with scars, stretch marks, and loose skin after giving birth and this is a reality that women themselves often try to hide, and that the media never wants to show.

After having three children I can say that I have very low self-esteem and regularly wear clothing that hides my lumps and bumps. Even nearly 4 year after birthing my last child, I still hide those scars that brought him into this world.

We're told that we should be proud of our bodies, that we should wear our tiger stripes with pride and that we should be proud of how our bodies have grown children, but it's not has to start to resent how much your body has changed whilst also being proud of what it has achieved.

Creating A Dressing Table And Home Office

As a parent to 3 children, and someone who works from home, space can be a bit limited in our house. We have to make good use of the space we have to make sure everything we need is catered for. When I decided I needed and office for my work, it took a lot of manoeuvring around to actually find a corner of space - especially when I already had a dressing table too in the same room and couldn't justify taking up more space.

So it got me to thinking about creating one desk for both. Somewhere I can work when I need to and use as a dressing table on a morning when I'm getting ready or drying my hair. When I showed off my home office last year, I realised that I needed to change it up a bit, to cater for everything I would use the space for. Creating a Grey and White Modern Bathroom

Grey bathrooms are having a renaissance right now - this stunning tone is the colour trend of the decade and can make a bathroom look super modern if used correctly.

What I personally love about grey, is that it can be combined with different colours to really make the room pop, or used on its own to look modern and stylish. If paired with the right hues it can really make a designer scheme, give a calming effect, and add extra punch to your design.

Creating a Grey and Silver Living Room

I'm not a person to shy away from colour, and think that every room of our house should allow the personalities and loves of the people in them to come out. I love colour - I love different colours - And I love mixing colours to suit us.

I totally not a white and magnolia fan!

So when my husband finally gave me the go ahead to start stripping the living room, I got that paper off as fast as I could and started planning what our living room would look like. I knew that I wanted a silver theme, and grey seemed to be an 'in' colour at the moment, and that's where my choice came from.
