Nobody is born with limitless self-confidence. If someone seems to have incredible self-confidence then it's likely because they have worked on building it for years. Self-confidence is something that you learn to build up as life in general can deflate it.
Well meaning but sometimes unkind comments from those closest to us can also hit us hard, even if they don't mean them to. On top of this, our inner self-doubt can sometimes tell us that we are not good enough. And I guess, when we are bombarded by so many elements that harm our self-confidence, it can really take its toll.

Visualise yourself as you want to be.
This technique is about seeing an image of yourself that you are proud of, in your own mind, and working towards it. When we struggle with low confidence, we seem to get a poor perception of ourselves and so practice visualising a fantastic version of yourself, achieving your goals, and it'll help you to get there.
Affirm yourself.
We tend to behave in accordance with our own self-image, so if you feel bad about yourself, you'll really do harm. Affirmations are positive and uplifting statements that we say to ourselves. For example, if you dislike your appearance, practice saying something that you appreciate or like about yourself when you next look in the mirror.

Do one thing that scares you every day.
The best way to overcome fear is to face it head-on, so do it. By doing something that scares you every day you'll be gaining confidence and will see your self-confidence soar. So get out of your comfort zone and set yourself up to win.
Care for yourself.
Self confidence all depends on a mix of good physical health, emotional health, mental health and social health. It is hard to feel good about yourself if you hate your physique or constantly have low energy.

Make time to exercise, eat properly and sleep better. In addition, dress the way you want to feel. I'm sure you'll have heard the saying that “clothes make the man” so dress in a way that makes you feel good.
Instead of focusing only on all those to-do lists, I like to spend time reflecting on did-it lists instead. Looking back on to the milestones, projects and goals I've achieved as this is a great way to reinforce confidence in your skills. So give it a try...
